Kristyn Lowery, MPAS, PA-C

Kristyn Lowery is a Physician Assistant in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Originally from the Pittsburgh area, she graduated from Duquesne University in 2004 with a Masters of Physician Assistant Sciences. After graduating, she practiced as a PA in Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio with a concentration in surgery and ICU care. In 2006, she returned to Pittsburgh as a member of the Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she continues to practice. Her responsibilities include assisting in the operating room, post-operative care of patients on the acute care floor, outpatient clinic visits, and research as well as precepting students. She has also been an active member of the Society for Physician Assistants in Pediatrics and has served as Treasurer, President-Elect, President and now Past President. Her favorite activities involve spending time with her husband and two children, Colin and Charlotte.
